I’ve spent much of my life on the water. When the tide shifts, there’s a period called slack tide where things are at a mushy, messy standstill.

Like many people, I began studying astrology to understand myself better.

The first time I saw an astrologer (the late and brilliant Jeff Jawer) he looked at my chart, looked at me, and said, You’re surprisingly optimistic for someone so long suffering. I felt in that moment deeply seen.

I was born in a time of war, displaced for much of my early life until my family & I fled Vietnam by boat. We were in a refugee camp together, then sponsored to the United States.

.If my life were a book, it contains lots of chapters, each unique & varied, yet I couldn’t quite connect the dots or get the story to make sense. In this way, astrology provided a framework for me to understand my multitudes and trust the timing of my story.

It took me many, long years to realize that the parts of myself that I was ashamed of, kept hidden & small, were actually my superpowers.

To me, astrology and our connection to the natural world go together like poetry.

In the first half of my life, I have travelled all seven continents—most notably eight science support deployments to Antarctica, and roam-schooled my kids on islands and archipelagos where we surfed with sea turtles. In some ways, my experience of being without a home has made me belong to the world at large.

I’m also a life-long bookworm, a UC Berkeley and MFA-trained poet.

To me, astrology and our connection to the natural world go together like poetry. For thousands of years, we have turned to the sky for way finding, for insight and guidance through transformative times. I bring an ecological and archetypal lens to my astrology practice—believing in a fundamental connectedness of all things and a rich multiplicity of the soul.

I’d love to help you connect to the wisdom of the stars to discover your unique place, path, and purpose in this one, wild world.

Astrology helps us towards profound healing, acceptance, and trust.

I love astrology because it connect us—to our own multitudes, to each other, and to a greater celestial wisdom & timing. I hope to validate your struggles & grief and to help you feel uplifted & empowered to create a better future.

Looking up at the sky, I can’t help but think of all the early ancestors who gazed at the moon & stars to make sense of when to plant, to tell stories about how the world came to be, and to navigate beyond outer bounds & return home.

How is there even a language for the mysteries of the universe? It is written in the stars & the stars are within us.
